Upon studying basic Māori in 1986, Sonja gained a deeper understanding of Aotearoa, realising there was a spirit and interconnectedness between things.
The meanings in these bilingual texts is in the flow between and through both languages. Sonja worked closed with translator, Te Toroa Pōhatu to ensure that the story flows regardless of your proficiency in each language.
