Small is the stump of this tree. Big is the forest that was here. Small is this detail of the dumped spoil on our land. Big is what is beyond the edges of this photograph. Small is the seepage of the polluted spring into our wetland. Big is the story of the environment. Is it easier to engage with this if is a big or small story? Is what owl observes, big or small?
