Make a "Sea" poem by moving the sentences

The "Zee Gedicht" (Sea Poem)


Made for 8-10 year olds. First the original poem is shown and then the instructions are to make your own "Sea Poem" by dragging each sentence into place and hitting the space bar to fix it in place. Once finished, hitting the "printer image" will then print the poem that has been created out on an a4 sheet.

Avoid + Catch Games

"Het Weer" (The weather)


Made for 8-10 year olds. The sheep and the bird are main characters in the children's educational televion programme, "Huisje Boompje Beestje". As the 'sheep' you are asked to catch the raindrops and to avoid the sticks thrown by the bird. Points are gained or lost and the final screen explains that water drops are measured by weather experts.
Made in 2007.




Matching Pairs Games



The "Listen to Bird call patterns" game


Made for 6 year olds onwards. You begin by dragging the birds over their matching environment to begin the game. Press "start" and then "speel" and a bird will call. The goal is to see how far you can imitate the pattern of bird calls without making a mistake. The game can be played endlessly and you can always begin again to improve on your score by clicking on "Nog een keer".
Made in 2004 for the "Huisje Boomje Beestje" schooltv.nl website for a theme on 'birds'. The game teaches you to listen for patterns as well as to learn to recognize the bird's call.

Drag and Match Games

The Water Game


Made for 6 to 12 year olds, children need to drag the things that do not belong in the water into the rubbish container. Bottles of water empty as a timer. The score at the end indicates which items were correctly located and which ones were not. The number is the amount that have been correctly moved into the rubbish container. Each time the game is played 8 out of a total of 16 possible objects appear.



The Cat and Mouse Party Story Game


Made for 6 to 10 year olds, children need to match the image with the correct text. The story was written by J. van der Linden, and I did the illustrations, design and scripted the game in flash. At the end children can print out a page which has all images and text matched exactly onto one a4 sheet, which they can colour in and cut out to make their own storybook.

Made for 6 to 10 year olds. You need to drag the animal into the night or day. They can start over at any moment by clicking on the top left button.

A crossword puzzle for adults

Most games I make are for children, so here I decided to make a quizz that I might want to play. Mail me any odd facts you know and if I like them, I'll add them to the crossword puzzle.
