Whilst at AYYO Sonja is undertaking a period of research into recently discovered archive material of previously unknown family in the UK. This research includes material about her maternal great grandfather who died in Flanders Fields in 1917. She is examining the resulting re-alignment of histories, memories and identities. AYYO will screen film and animation works by her later in 2014.
