the knocking down of trees on our Kawakawa urban property

Kawakawa, Aotearoa | New Zealand

Sept - Nov 2022 by the new neighbour next door

The tree (and all other trees in this photo on our property) this owl used to live in was knocked down by this neighbour >>>
The FNDC + NRC continue to allow the trespassing spoil to pollute our land + wetland (despite our many complaints).

summary:
20 Oct 2022 We return from the Netherlands to find 10-15 trees on our property knocked down and about 500 tonne of fill had been dumped to fill in a gully that was partly on our property.

5-11 Nov 2022 We attend a family event in Christchurch and return to discover the neighbour had dumped another several hundred tonne of fill, now flowing into our remaining trees and into a pond metres into our property. We ring the FNDC council.

17 Nov 2022 FNCD compliance officer site visit. He says he can't stop the neighbour continuing to bring in more trailer loads of rubble unless his boss signs off on the abatement notice. The neighbour continues bringing in more fill which Sonja documents.

29 Nov 2022 The neigbhour tells Sonja that the abatement notice has been lifted.

30 Nov 2022 We object to the Team Leader of the FNDC compliance department in writing.
