The title of this thread relates to Quran 4:34, which some interpreters say allows a man to beat his wife. In my opinion the word is correctly translated as 'leave her' rather than 'beat her' - but that is a different posting. This posting is about another favourite of the Islam-bashing brigade: the marriage of the Prophet to the young Aisha.
